General Program Cancellations
The Town of Morristown reserves the right to cancel or consolidate any programs that do not meet the minimum participation number required. A full refund will be issued if a program is canceled and you will be notified if a program is being consolidated with the option to agree to participate or to request a refund. All registered participants will be notified by email of any changes or cancellations to any of the programs.
Program Refunds
In the event that a participant cancels out of a program, refunds will be handled as stated below. If you have an outstanding balance, the refund will be automatically applied to that balance and any remainder will be refunded. Refund checks take approximately three weeks to process.
- Processing Fee: $10.00 is deducted off all refunds except cancelled programs. Remaining is refunded as stated.
- Remaining Balance: Will be refunded up to one (1) week prior to start of program.
- No Refund: No Refund will be given if notice of cancellation is made less than the one (1) week prior to start of program unless approved by the Program Coordinator.

Refunds
- One Month Prior to Program Start Date
To initiate a refund, you must complete and return a Town of Morristown Refund Request form to the Morristown Town Office or email it to community [at] morristownvt.gov. A full refund (subjected to a $250 cancellation fee) will be given for a withdrawal from a program if requested one month prior to the program’s start date. Requests must be received by May 30, 2025. Refund checks take approximately three weeks to process.
- Less Than One Month Prior to Program Start Date
To initiate a refund, you must complete and return a Town of Morristown Refund Request form to the Morristown Town Office or email it to gbeck [at] morristownvt.gov (community[at]morristownvt[dot]gov). A full refund (subjected to a $500 cancellation fee) will be given for a withdrawal from a program if requested less than one month prior to the program’s start date only if ALL of the following are true:
- The program is full and your cancellation opens up a spot that was not previously available, and
- There is an existing waitlist, and
- The Town of Morristown is able to offer, and another family accepts the open spot, bringing camp back to capacity.
If all criteria are not met than then no refund will be granted. Requests must be received by June 23, 2025. Refund checks take approximately three weeks to process.
- One Week Prior to Program Start Date
Refund requests made after June 23, 2025 will not be granted.
- Dismissal
Refunds will not be issued if a participant is dismissed from the program for any reason.
- Medical Reasoning
Registrants can receive a prorated refund if they notify the Town of Morristown in writing and provide a written note from a medical provider.
- Fees
Please note that if a participant chooses to withdraw from the program, the debit or credit card processing fees will not be refunded. However, if we are required to cancel the program, the debit or credit card fees will be refunded.
